We aim to move beyond Accessibility, which addresses a particular need or problem, toward Inclusiveness, or the practice of Inclusivity which is being mindful of a broad range of users, their variable abilities, their variety of environments, situations, and contexts.
The functional definition of accessibility states students with disabilities must be provided the opportunity to—
- acquire the same information
- engage in the same interactions, and
- enjoy the same services
as students without disabilities with “substantially equivalent ease of use.”
