The government is to blame for the toxins being in our products because they work together with the production companies I believe that they are about the money and in other words if you scratch my back I will scratch yours!
I think that water should be a right and not a good because we need water to survive, and also, it is a natural resource. It makes me angry knowing that in some countries they have to pay and or even wait days, sometimes weeks for drinking water. Here on the islands we are so fortunate to have access to clean water. Thank God for our beautiful ko’olau’s!
I am feeling tide between both sides. We as a state should have enough aloha to share our resources especially when someone needs help, we should help. I feel that there should be a limit to what is available if it will hurt another side like Waiahole and that is where I feel things get sticky. Having enough information regarding our farmers able to have the resources but fighting for our future generations really hits me hard in a deep way. I want my children to see where I grew up and appreciate what we have.
The most favorite product that I own is my IPhone 7. It is my very first IPhone , and I think it is beautiful. The IPhone is made in China and made from silicone and glass I believe. My husband bought this phone after he bought himself one. I have always had a Samsung, so it was something new to get used to. Not only is my phone beautiful, but I use it daily everything from searching emails and face time with my husband. He works long hours and has side jobs since I am not working, it is always really great to be able to see him when we are talking to each other. I feel it is more personal.
This life is new for me. I have always lived in an apartment growing up. My in-laws own a farm, and I am so blessed to have this opportunity to live on and help my mother in-law with the farm. We have everything from chickens to horses. Fresh eggs ate awesome, banana trees are also a great treat I love to eat. It is so beautiful and quiet there, I find myself relaxed at times when the babies are taking a nap! It is a lot of work nut totally worth it. I want to learn more about farming and doing more for my children. I want my children to have all that I can give them so that when my husband and I no longer are with them they will know how to protect and preserve what they do have and cherish it. I believe that God has blessed us with this island and all the natural recourses. We as parents should appreciate it and teach it to our children. Children will be a light that we need to remember to let it shine and grow as much as they can. Being at the farm, my daughter Estelle who is ten years old, has always lived horses and when you ask her if she likes being at the farm, her face lights up with a big beautiful smile. “What an awesome environment to raise a family!!” said Cara Chang
My first name was given to me by my mother, she had a friend named Joanne. As for my middle name, my mother named me after my great grandmother. I do not know the meaning of Joanne, but I know the meaning of Estelle “shinning star”. I loved my name Estelle. Growing up, I always wished my first name was Estelle and not Joanne, but my first born is named Estelle, so I guess it all worked out in the end anyway. “It’s great to keep the memory of loved ones through names”. Said Cara Chang, yes I have to agree with her.
Knowing what I know now about how much water and everyday stuff that I have I have come to realize that I am really wasteful and take for granted the fresh water and easy access I have to the toilet and sink. I will from this day forward thank the lord that I am blessed and try my best to conserve these resources so that my grandchildrens grandchildren will have what I have.
