We welcome back Leah Gazan, our new Instruction Librarian. As many of you remember, Leah previously worked with us in a causal hire position from October 2013 through February 2014, so we are elated to have her on-board permanently!
Leah obtained her B.A. in Psychology from UH-Manoa and continued on to earn her MLISc (Master’s in Library & Information Science). She has substantial experience in the Library field, as she spent 7 years working at the Health Sciences Library of the John A. Burns School of Medicine.
Leah can be reached at (808)455-0673 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Leah, what do you hope to accomplish at Leeward CC?
I am thrilled and extremely grateful for the opportunity to be working with everyone in the Library again.
As a casual hire, it was exciting to work at a Library that has such a strong relationship with the students, and staff and faculty from different departments on campus, and I’d like to continue to develop and strengthen these relationships. I also look forward to working with Library staff on designing instruction sessions that continue to inform and engage, and I am very excited about exploring new assessment practices that will help us improve our information literacy program.
We are excited at all she’s sure to accomplish here at Leeward CC. Here’s to you, Leah!
