Issues Accessing New York Times? Create/Renew Your Academic Pass!

Can’t access the New York Times?

For those of you who already subscribe to the New York Times through the Library, you may be experiencing difficulty accessing your subscription. Some of you have mentioned that although you were able to read unlimited articles in the past, you are now receiving messages that you only have “X” articles remaining. It is possible that your pass has expired and you need to get a new pass. Your New York Times Academic Pass is good for one year and you will need to get a new pass each year.

If you believe your New York Times Academic Pass has expired, please go to this link and log in.  You should receive a message that your account has been renewed and the new subscription date. You can also check Academic Passes Troubleshooting Guide for more help.

What’s new this Spring?

They Asked, We Delivered!

Best Sellers Collection

We added comfy new bean bag chairs in our Best Sellers section. The bean bag chairs were suggested by the students on the Student Library Wish List board displayed during the Fall semester. A couple of students who tested the chairs commented that the bean bag chairs will be their reason to come into the library to study!

Fun Ways to Go Green!

The circulation staff created the “Fun Ways to Go Green!” display board in both of the library’s stairwells. Come by and check out the fun green tips suggested by the staff!

Course Reserves Services Available for Spring

Aloha Leeward CC Faculty!

With the new semester rapidly approaching, we’d like to remind you of the Library’s Course Reserve service! If you would like to place a Leeward CC Library item or a personal copy of your course’s required and/or supplemental text on Reserve for the Spring 2018 semester, you can fill out our easy online request form.  Our Course Reserve procedures are available if you would like more information about this service.

Course Reserves are an incredible benefit to offer to your students, as it makes texts readily available for them to borrow from the Library.  Items on Reserve can be checked out for either a 3-hour or 3-day loan period (which you can specify when you fill out the form) depending on the need, purpose, or anticipated demand for the item.

Students who utilize Course Reserves have always been very appreciative of the service, and find that it affords them the opportunity to further hone their study and research skills, improve their understanding of course topics, and provides access to titles that may not be available at the Bookstore or online.

We look forward to working with all of you in the coming semester!
