Problems Accessing ABI/INFORM Articles from OneSearch

When searching OneSearch, our multi-database research tool, you might experience difficulty accessing articles from ProQuest’s ABI/INFORM Collection, especially while off-campus. You may get a “504 Gateway Time-Out” message after a long pause, or you may see a screen asking you for your institution or ProQuest username. Or you might see a screen with information about the magazine or journal the article comes from, but not the article itself. We are working to resolve the issue. You can go directly to ABI/INFORM to search for and view articles.

OneSearch is a system that keeps track of the materials in many of our various subscriptions and collections, and other sources. It can quickly give you a list of books, articles, videos, etc., ranked in order of most likely to be useful. For physical materials like books, magazines, and DVDs, it tells you where to find them. For online articles, papers, e-books, and streaming videos, it links out to the materials in the databases they come from. It’s the linking from OneSearch to ABI/INFORM that isn’t working correctly right now.

ABI/INFORM Collection, which includes ABI/INFORM Global, ABI/INFORM Trade and Industry, and ABI/INFORM Dateline, features thousands of full-text journals, dissertations, working papers, key business and economics periodicals such as The Economist, country- and industry-focused reports, and downloadable data. Its international coverage gives researchers a complete picture of companies and business trends around the world.
