Windows 7 was released by Microsoft back in 2009, almost 10 yrs ago!
The ITG Staff will be searching and looking at inventory reports for computers that are still running Windows 7 and recommend that it will be upgraded to Windows 10 by the ITG Helpdesk.
The initial targeting for this upgrade will be areas that deal with sensitive information, procurement, and student records.
The time required by ITG Helpdesk to complete the upgrade will be determined by the number of files or data stored on your computer.
This upgrade is necessary and our main goal for this plan is to secure our campus information and prevent any possible compromised computers by running a more secure operating system, Windows 10.

It’s important not to interrupt the updating process especially during operating system updates. Rebooting or shutting down your computer while the computer is installing system updates can cause the computer to crash, and then it may not boot.

Progress bar displayed during Mac firmware update. Interrupting this one will definitely make your computer unbootable.
